Managing Unforeseen Issues and Service Calls: The True Test of a Good Project Manager

In the construction world, the unexpected is part of daily operations. Equipment failure, installation error, oversight in a quote, an inspection revealing a deficiency: construction sites, even the best-planned ones, never unfold exactly as anticipated.

In the construction world, the unexpected is part of daily operations. Equipment failure, installation error, oversight in a quote, an inspection revealing a deficiency: construction sites, even the best-planned ones, never unfold exactly as anticipated.

But the difference between an overwhelmed company and a high-performing one does not lie in the absence of unforeseen issues—it lies in how they are managed.

Unforeseen Issues: Inevitable, but Not Unmanageable

A scratched window to replace, a damaged step, an incorrect door order, a client noticing a detail after the fact... These situations may seem minor, but they have a real impact on timelines, costs, and client satisfaction.

When they are not closely monitored:

Corrections get lost in emails or text messages;

Priorities become confused;

Subcontractors lack the right information;

And the client grows tired of waiting for updates.

Each "detail" then becomes a costly and time-consuming irritant.

The Problem: A Lack of Structure in Service Call Management

In many companies, service calls are still managed in an ad hoc manner: a phone call, a note on paper, a photo in a foreman's phone, then follow-up "when we have time."

Result:
Oversights or excessively long response times with multiple follow-up calls, interventions that could have been better scheduled to avoid deploying a resource at an inopportune time, clients dissatisfied with the lack of follow-up or wait time.

Structuring Follow-Up: The Key to Controlling the Unexpected

Unforeseen issues are inevitable, but they become manageable when they are properly documented, prioritized, and tracked in a clear system.

A tool like CynQ allows you to:

Create a service call from the construction site with supporting photos directly added to the project;

Assign the task to the right person (employee, subcontractor, supplier);

Add photos, notes, or files to document the situation;

Track the progress and resolution of the issue in real time;

Compile the associated time and costs and invoice a supplier if applicable;

Close the task once the correction is confirmed and validated.

Each call becomes a traceable, time-stamped, and documented task—impossible to overlook.

Documenting to Better Protect the Company

One of the major advantages of digital management of unforeseen issues is proof.

Each failure, each correction, each intervention is recorded with elements such as: a photo, a date, an assigned person responsible, and confirmation of resolution.

In case of disagreement or claim, you have complete traceability. This is your best defense, both administratively and legally.

From Unforeseen Issues to Continuous Improvement

Managing unforeseen issues is not just about putting out fires—it is also a source of learning.

By centralizing your service calls in CynQ, you can:

Identify recurring types of problems;

Pinpoint root causes (design error, supplier, internal procedure);

Implement permanent corrections to avoid repeating them.

Thus, each unforeseen issue becomes useful data that feeds your continuous improvement.

Respond Faster, Coordinate More Effectively

With CynQ, field teams can report a problem in seconds from their phone.

Managers receive an instant notification.

Corrections can be scheduled or executed immediately.

All without email, without printing, without loss of information with desired resolution date and reminder notification as needed.

Concrete Example:

An employee notices minor water infiltration in a new unit. Rather than noting the problem on paper or sending a text message:

They open CynQ:

Create a "service call" with photo and description;

The project manager receives an alert and can assign the task to an employee or subcontractor;

Everything is documented, dated, and accessible to all relevant stakeholders;

A notification and reminder system via text and email allows tracking the request until closure.

Result: no loss of information, and a client satisfied with the speed of execution.

Mastering the Unexpected Is the Mark of Professionals

Unforeseen issues, failures, and service calls are not signs of poor management. They are the natural reflection of a complex, dynamic, and demanding sector.

But companies that manage them well stand out through their rigor, responsiveness, and reliability.

With CynQ, you structure your interventions, improve your follow-ups, and gain credibility with your clients.

Each unforeseen issue becomes an opportunity to improve your processes—and build a solid reputation.

Artificial Intelligence in Construction: AI Driving Productivity

By Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ

By Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ

Our participation in the 11th edition of Batimatech, held September 29 and 30 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, confirmed something important: interest in artificial intelligence across the construction industry is very real. But more importantly, in my view, it confirmed where the next major challenge lies.

Productivity. And more specifically, productivity during project execution.

The White Paper unveiled at the event also highlights this issue. Quebec’s construction industry needs to improve its productivity, and digitalization is one of the key ways to get there: making better use of the data companies already generate, strengthening their ability to analyze that data, and using artificial intelligence to optimize certain processes.

But one question remains: where can AI actually create the most value for contractors?

What struck me at Batimatech is that many of the innovations currently being proposed are focused on what happens before a construction project enters the execution phase: plan reading, estimating, takeoffs, risk management, project preparation and planning.

These advances are important. But they only address part of the challenge.

Once a project is underway, there is still enormous untapped potential for optimization.

How can we optimize the sequencing of work? Make better use of resources? Reduce rework? Improve coordination between teams? Identify issues that affect profit margins sooner?

This is where I see a major opportunity for artificial intelligence.

And this is precisely where CynQ has chosen to position itself.

Our approach is to use data and AI not simply to prepare a project, but to improve its execution and protect the contractor’s profit margin.

Another observation from Batimatech also deserves our attention: many technology solutions are still being developed as custom solutions for individual companies. Custom-built solutions can be extremely powerful, but they require time, resources and investments that many contractors simply cannot dedicate to a technology project.

Quebec has a very high proportion of small businesses in the construction sector. We therefore need to develop technologies that are not reserved for organizations with large IT teams and substantial budgets.

The digital transformation of construction cannot rely solely on custom-built projects. It needs to become accessible.

In my view, this will be one of the major challenges in the years ahead.

The industry is ready. Contractors recognize the value of AI and technology. The need for greater productivity is clear.

Now, we need to move from experimentation to adoption.

And above all, we need to move from AI that helps us prepare jobsites to AI that actually helps us execute projects better.

That is where we believe a significant part of the next generation of productivity gains in construction will come from.

Pierre Custeau

CEO, CynQ

Real-Time Cost and Budget Management with CynQ | Optimize Your Projects

Major construction challenges demand a new way to manage your projects

The construction industry is experiencing unprecedented turbulence.
Between rising costs squeezing margins, challenges related to U.S. tariffs, and a persistent labor shortage, contractors must deal with constant pressure. Add to this another reality: information too often scattered across Excel, text messages, paper documents, and disparate tools, making it nearly impossible to gain a clear view of actual profitability before final delivery.

The lack of a unified tool: a major financial risk

Without a centralized system to track costs and budgets in real time, companies end up with manual tracking prone to errors, omissions, delays, and above all... cost overruns.

"Often, contractors must wait until the end of a billing cycle to reconcile expenses against the initial budget, which can result in a delay of up to two months. That's often far too late to correct course or make necessary adjustments. With CynQ, this information is available day by day," explains Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ.

Fortunately, it is now possible to act before it's too late.

Smart Costs and Budgets: the CynQ feature that changes everything

With the Smart Costs and Budgets feature, CynQ's AI allows you to keep your margins under control and gain complete visibility over your projects from start to finish.

What CynQ's AI does for you:

Budgets created in minutes from similar projects or templates;

Margin targets by line item, supplier, or category;

Expenses categorized automatically;

Financial burn down with projection of remaining costs;

Early detection of overruns through continuous analysis.

The problem: tracking that comes too late and costs too much

Monthly tracking, Excel spreadsheets, and isolated dashboards are no longer sufficient.
A budget overrun, a forgotten expense, a supply delay, or a service request handled too late may seem minor... but when discovered a month later, they become irreversible losses.

In a context where costs are exploding and pressure is mounting, small businesses are particularly vulnerable—even with strong construction demand.

Without real-time data, contractors sometimes move forward in the dark.

Proactive management that allows you to act before disaster strikes

With CynQ's advanced cost and budget management, you can track variances as soon as they appear and intervene quickly.

CynQ provides you with:

Simplified budget creation from existing projects;

Real-time cost tracking powered by artificial intelligence;

Automated expenses with invoice scanning and immediate budget reconciliation;

Continuous monitoring of each project's financial health.

You know exactly where every dollar goes—and whether your project is still on track for:

Greater visibility

Fewer overruns

More profitable projects

Less paperwork

Better planned, better controlled, and more profitable projects

"When you establish a new budget, it is based on reliable data that will help you avoid costly expenses or future overruns, while reducing the workload of estimation and project management," concludes Mr. Custeau.

CynQ - Transform your operations in 5 days, one step at a time

In the construction industry, implementing a new tool is often seen as a heavy and risky project. Too many companies try to transform everything at once—systems, planning, site management—only to run out of steam before they even see the benefits.

In the construction industry, implementing a new tool is often seen as a heavy and risky project. Too many companies try to transform everything at once—systems, planning, site management—only to run out of steam before they even see the benefits.

What if the right approach was exactly the opposite?

According to Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ, the key is not to move fast, but to move smart:
“ The first reflex to avoid is trying to do everything at the same time. That’s often where companies spend a lot… without any real return on investment. ”

The good news? It is possible to transform your operations in just a few weeks—provided you take it step by step.

Week 1: Centralize documentation and generate immediate value

The first step is often the simplest—and the most rewarding.

Rather than starting with complex processes, CynQ lets you create projects for active job sites and consolidate all documentation there: plans, photos, conversations, notes, etc.

Above all, it is a site-focused tool, designed so documents can be shared simply, naturally, and securely. Every stakeholder—from the office to the field—can be confident they are always working with the right, up-to-date version.

Result: everyone finally accesses the same information, in the same place, without friction.

“ Simply making documentation available and structured on the job site creates immediate value. We spend far less time searching for information, and we avoid misunderstandings that too often lead to rework or costly corrections ” explains Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ.

No more lost texts, calls to track down a plan, or scattered photos. You are not changing processes yet—you are organizing them.

Week 2: Structure correction requests

Once information is centralized, another issue often emerges: tracking corrections.

Customer requests, corrections, warranties… information circulates and gets lost along the way, and no clear follow-up is ensured.

With CynQ, you can start structuring these requests for both ongoing projects and those already delivered.

According to Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ:
“ The goal is to make sure the request doesn’t fall through the cracks. With CynQ, every correction request becomes traceable. At the same time, the company starts building something powerful: a true database of projects and contacts (customers, subcontractors, suppliers). ”

But here again, the approach is progressive.

“Rather than trying to build the entire database all at once, it can be enriched over time, simply by adding the right contacts as they become useful in operations.”

CynQ can of course import customer and supplier contacts in bulk, but it is not a prerequisite to get started.

What matters is moving forward.

Every correction request, every project, every interaction becomes an opportunity to gradually improve data quality—without creating friction or slowing teams down.

Week 3: Structure site inspections to move to the next level

Once you have centralized documentation and structured your correction requests, you can naturally move to the next step: AI-powered site inspections.

It is a crucial process—both for schedule management and for a project’s quality and costs.

“ The challenge is not simply to do inspections, but to know how to collect and structure job-site information in a way that enables better decisions, faster. Automating job-site data collection already delivers a concrete improvement in the performance of ongoing projects ” explains Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ.

With a structured approach, each inspection becomes a useful data source: tracking corrections, prioritizing actions, and improving coordination among stakeholders.

Result: fewer oversights, less ambiguity, and above all, better control of the schedule and costs.

This is also where you start tackling a major construction challenge in a concrete way: rework.

Week 4: Rethink the schedule without starting from scratch

Schedule planning is often the hardest aspect to evolve.

Why? Because every contractor has developed their own way of doing things—a “recipe” that works… at least on the surface.

But the real question is not whether your schedule works. It is whether it is connected to the rest of your operations.

Before changing anything, you need to ask the right questions:

Is sharing documents associated with tasks simple and efficient?

Do you spend a lot of time notifying your team about schedule changes?

Can you easily confirm who is on the job site and which tasks are in progress or completed?

Does managing schedule changes require a lot of time, effort, and field knowledge (subcontractors, crews, suppliers)?

Do you have a clear view of resource availability across all your ongoing projects?

If the answer is “no” to one or more of these questions, there is significant room for improvement.

And that is where CynQ comes in.

Rather than rebuilding everything, the goal is to simplify and connect planning:

Quickly create a schedule by dragging and dropping predefined tasks

Visualize resource availability across all projects

Link documentation directly to work items

Track the task lifecycle (seen, accepted, in progress, declined, completed)

Benefit from AI assistance to adjust tasks and optimize the timeline

Result: smoother, more collaborative planning—and above all, far less dependent on a single person.

Week 5: Track costs and make better decisions

The final step is to integrate the financial dimension: budgets, expenses, time worked.

This is often where a major belief persists in the industry.

“ Many contractors think the best way to increase profit margins is to estimate their projects better. So they turn to increasingly sophisticated estimating tools. ” explains Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ.

The reality is different, however.

Very few tools truly leverage historical data from comparable projects. And without that foundation, estimating often remains disconnected from the field.

Moreover, in a typical construction project, the cost of materials directly managed by the general contractor often represents only 10 to 15% of the total cost. The rest is largely carried by subcontractors—plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning—over whom the contractor has little direct control.

According to Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ:
“ The challenge is not only to estimate better, but to understand what is happening on job sites and the gaps between forecasts and the actual budget ” explains CynQ’s CEO, Pierre Custeau.

With CynQ, the goal is therefore to start collecting financial information in a structured way:

Actual costs vs. forecasts

Actual time spent executing tasks

Gaps between planning and field reality

Once this data is accumulated job site by job site, it becomes possible to look back at comparable projects and use the actual budget as a reference base—rather than starting from scratch with each estimate. You then gain a much more accurate view of real contingencies and performance gaps.

A progressive, but powerful transformation

What sets CynQ apart is not only its technology, born in the AI era.

It is its implementation philosophy.

It is based on a simple idea: operational transformation is not decreed—it is built. Day after day, job site after job site.

From centralizing documentation, to structuring correction requests, to integrating inspections, scheduling, and financial data—each step delivers immediate value, without interrupting existing operations.

And that is where ROI becomes tangible.

It is not only a matter of productivity or efficiency. It is a direct reduction of the invisible losses that undermine project profitability:

Time wasted searching for information

Avoidable rework

Coordination errors between teams

Decisions made without reliable field data

Cost overruns that are difficult to anticipate

CynQ is designed specifically for contractors managing mid-sized residential and commercial projects—where margins are tight, operations are complex, and every inefficiency has a direct impact on profitability.

Hourly rate management by skills and projects

A new, enhanced employee profile will soon allow you to manage each employee’s skills and the hourly rates associated with different project types. When an employee enters their hours, CynQ will automatically calculate the applicable pay, actual cost, and billable rate. This information can then be incorporated into the project budget to reflect actual costs and used when timesheets are submitted, making it easier to export them directly to payroll systems.

In the construction world, the construction schedule has always been the heart of coordination. It dictates the phases, assigns employees, synchronizes subcontractors, and keeps timelines on track.

In the construction world, the construction schedule has always been the heart of coordination. It dictates the phases, assigns employees, synchronizes subcontractors, and keeps timelines on track.

For a long time, it lived on paper—hung on a wall or scribbled in a notebook. Then came the “digital” shift… but often only partially.

Many companies simply transferred their schedule into Excel, Outlook, or Google Calendar, without connecting that planning to the rest of their operations.

The result: a sense of modernity, but still the same underlying issue—siloed management.

From the whiteboard to the Outlook calendar: a misstep toward modernity

The paper schedule had obvious limitations: it was only accessible to those on site and became outdated as soon as a change occurred elsewhere.

But even with a tool like Outlook or Google Calendar, planning often remains isolated. Each manager has their own calendar, each team its own file, and subcontractors do not have access.

These tools are not designed for the construction industry:

They do not account for interdependencies between tasks and trades;

They do not allow documents or photos to be attached to a project;

They offer no traceability of changes made;

They do not notify teams when a change occurs.

In other words, you plan, but you do not truly collaborate.

Modern job sites require connected planning

Today’s projects are complex, dynamic, and interconnected. Teams are dispersed, subcontractors are numerous, and unexpected issues arise daily.

For everything to run smoothly, you need:

A clear, shared view;

A living plan that adjusts to what is happening on site;

And above all, a tool that speaks to everyone.

The project manager can no longer be the only one holding the information. The schedule must become the link between the office and the job site, not just a file on a computer.

The collaborative digital schedule: a living tool

The real digital leap is not about changing the medium, but about integrating planning at the heart of site management. That is exactly what CynQ enables.

With its integrated schedule:

Each task is linked to a specific project;

Employees, subcontractors, and managers see the same information, in real time;

Deadlines are updated automatically;

And notifications instantly inform the relevant people when a change occurs.

You no longer need to send emails or update three different tools. One click in CynQ gets everyone on the same page.

Breaking out of the “silo”

Planning in Outlook or Excel is like working with blinders on. You see your own schedule, but not the job site as a whole.

With a tool like CynQ:

The schedule is no longer individual; it is collaborative and integrated into an overall view;

Tasks are linked to a project, along with documents, plans, quotes, photos, etc.;

And interdependencies between projects are visible at a glance.

This prevents labor overlaps, missed sequencing, and delays caused by lack of synchronization.

Seamless planning between the office and the field

The key advantage of a collaborative digital schedule is that it connects all project stakeholders.

In the field, teams can:

View their daily tasks on their phone;

Log hours worked;

Report progress or unexpected issues;

Attach photos to document progress or report a problem.

Meanwhile, in the office:

The manager sees job sites evolve in real time;

They adjust the work sequence in just a few clicks;

They can see hours worked by project;

And they always know where their resources stand.

No more “I thought it was tomorrow” or “I didn’t get the email or text.” Everyone works from the same version of the schedule, updated automatically.

Tangible results

The shift to an integrated digital schedule is profoundly transforming site management.

Fewer delays
Adjustments are made instantly, and everyone is informed.

Less confusion
Duplicates between calendars disappear. Information is centralized.

Better coordination
Dependencies between tasks are visible, reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts.

A complete history
Every change is recorded for clear, professional tracking.

The future of site management is already here

Moving from paper to a digital schedule is a first step.

But the real transformation is moving from an isolated schedule to an integrated schedule.

With CynQ, planning becomes a driver of collaboration.

Teams stay aligned, delays decrease, and profitability improves.

Make way for connected, dynamic, seamless management—just like your job sites!

How to Manage Multiple Construction Projects | CynQ

Managing one jobsite is one thing.

Managing one jobsite is one thing.

Managing 10, 20, 50 or more projects simultaneously is another.

You need to coordinate teams, schedules, clients, materials, equipment, suppliers, subcontractors and budgets, while ensuring that every project stays on schedule and remains profitable.

For specialty contractors, particularly electrical contractors, the challenge is even greater. Alongside large construction projects, they must also manage numerous service calls, each of which needs to be scheduled, completed, tracked and invoiced.

Installing an EV charging station.

Connecting a hot tub.

Modifying an electrical installation.

Carrying out a repair.

For this type of work, the challenge goes beyond getting the job done. It means always knowing who needs to be where, with which resources, for which project and at what cost, while also managing the customer relationship.

The Administrative Burden of Managing Multiple Projects

Every project generates a significant amount of information and documentation.

Contractors must manage quotes, work orders, purchase orders, delivery slips, timesheets, supplier invoices, jobsite notes, customer communications and, ultimately, invoicing.

As the number of projects grows, managing all this information across multiple tools that don't communicate with one another becomes increasingly difficult.

One tool for quotes.

Another for timesheets.

Emails for customer communications.

Excel spreadsheets for certain tracking tasks.

PDFs for invoices and delivery slips.

L’enjeu n’est donc pas simplement d’avoir de bons outils.

The challenge isn't simply having the right tools. It's making sure information flows from one stage to the next without constantly having to be entered, checked or transferred manually.

CynQ brings data and processes together in a single software solution while helping contractors coordinate customer communications and follow-ups.

“CynQ's customer portal makes it easier to communicate with customers and schedule service calls when their presence is required. Reminders can be sent, and once the work is completed, customers can receive an invitation to leave a Google review.” — Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ

From GCMEQ Quote to Project: Bridging the Gap

The software originally developed for the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ) already allows contractors to prepare quotes and access distributor pricing from suppliers such as Guillevin and Lumen.

But once a quote is accepted, the project management work is just beginning.

Contractors must plan the work, assign resources, manage purchases, track hours, receive delivery slips and invoices, monitor the budget and eventually invoice the customer.

“This is precisely the gap between quoting and execution that CynQ helps bridge.” — Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ

Through the Gestion CMEQ-CynQ integration, contractors can simply email their quote from GCMEQ to CynQ.

The system recognizes the information, creates the project and links the quote to an existing customer or creates a new customer record if needed.

Most importantly, the quote details become the foundation of the project budget.

Turning the Quoted Budget into a Project Management Tool

Consider an electrical project.

The quote specifies the required materials, estimated labour hours and anticipated costs.

As the project progresses, teams record their hours, materials are used, purchases are made and supplier invoices arrive.

CynQ allows contractors to compare this information against the original budget.

Supplier invoices can be checked against purchase orders and delivery slips.

Actual labour hours can be compared with estimated hours.

Materials actually used can be compared with those included in the original budget.

This gives contractors a much clearer picture of the difference between what was sold, what was planned and what is actually happening on the jobsite.

Track Profitability While the Project Is Still Underway

This is one of the most important challenges when managing multiple projects simultaneously.

A quote indicates what a company expects to sell, but it doesn't guarantee profitability.

Profitability depends on what happens next in the field.

Forgotten materials can mean an additional trip. Poor planning can delay a jobsite. Assigning resources incorrectly can create problems elsewhere.

“That's one of the reasons CynQ centralizes the management of teams, work and resources.” — Pierre Custeau, CEO of CynQ

How many hours have actually been worked?

How much material has actually been used?

How much have purchases cost?

Have there been any discrepancies?

Is the project consuming resources faster than expected?

When this information is scattered across different tools, answering these questions before the project ends can be difficult.

“With CynQ, actual costs can be compared against the budget established from the quote. You can really track your profitability in real time.” — Pierre Custeau

Most importantly, this visibility allows contractors to take action.

Because a project doesn't suddenly become unprofitable on the day the final invoice is sent.

Want to learn more? We'd be happy to discuss your challenges and goals and explore how CynQ can help lighten your workload.

Working with the Right Version of Documents: An Underestimated Challenge

In the construction industry, we often talk about meeting deadlines, costs, materials, and labor. However, the lack of control over document and plan versions is an often underestimated issue that creates delays, errors, budget overruns, and unnecessary tensions.

In the construction industry, we often talk about meeting deadlines, costs, materials, and labor. However, the lack of control over document and plan versions is an often underestimated issue that creates delays, errors, budget overruns, and unnecessary tensions.

On a construction site, the slightest version error can cost thousands of dollars and result in several days of lost work. Yet this is an avoidable problem, provided you have the right tools.

When multiple versions circulate, problems begin

Imagine: a contractor receives a plan revision by email, the foreman is still working with the old printed version, and a subcontractor downloaded a copy three weeks ago.
Result: everyone believes they have "the right version," but no one has the same one.

The consequences?

Construction errors: walls incorrectly positioned, openings moved, technical elements forgotten.
Time losses: rework, coordination to be redone.
Conflicts: everyone believes they followed the right directives.
Cost overruns: wasted materials, unplanned overtime.

In a context where every hour counts and margins are often thin, these errors can transform a profitable project into a financial drain and impact your client satisfaction.

Why is this so common in the construction industry?

The problem is not only human—it is structural.
The communication tools used by most contractors are not designed to ensure version control: printing, sending by email or text message, shared files without tracking or notifications, etc.

In many companies, the plan circulates through several channels:

One version sent by the client;
Another revised by the draftsperson;
Another modified by the interior designer;
And finally, a fourth version updated by the architect.

Not to mention the local copies saved on each stakeholder's devices. Without a common platform, it is impossible to know which is the most recent. This is where centralization comes into play.

Centralize to avoid confusion

The key is simple: a single platform where all documents live, evolve, and are accessible to everyone and up to date.

A tool like CynQ centralizes your plans, estimates, photos, and documents in each project.

Each time a new version is uploaded: the old version is archived and the new one automatically becomes the current one, even if it was previously shared.

This way, everyone works with the same information, at the same time, whether at the office, on the construction site, or remotely.

The concrete benefits of proper version control

Fewer coordination errors
A single reference document means less ambiguity.
Employees and subcontractors know exactly what to execute.

Considerable time savings
No more searching through emails, checking the date of a PDF file, or asking the architect which version is the right one.
The time saved amounts to hours per week.

Better traceability
Each modification is recorded with the date and author.
In case of dispute or misunderstanding, you have a complete record of the decision-making process.

Smooth collaboration
When field teams, the office, and subcontractors work with the same platform, collaboration becomes natural.
Discussions are based on concrete data, not assumptions.

A matter of trust... and reputation

Working with the right version of documents and plans is not only a matter of efficiency, it is also a matter of credibility.

A client who notices that their contractor is working with outdated plans may lose confidence.

Conversely, a clear and rigorous process inspires professionalism and strengthens the business relationship.

Documentary rigor has become a competitive advantage. Project owners, financial institutions, and insurers are placing increasing importance on traceability and digital management of project information.

We’re excited to unveil a series of new features built to deliver more control, greater efficiency, and enhanced visibility across your operations. Take a look at what’s new—and how it can make a real difference in your daily workflow.

What if project planning could finally adapt to change?

Here's how CynQ's intelligent project timeline transforms planning into a visual, adaptive, AI-powered experience:

Drag and drop work items onto your timeline.

Optimize task sequencing with automatic adjustment based on dependencies.

Adjust your schedules without starting from scratch.

Preserve resources, files, and comments even when work items are reassigned.

Let AI learn from your past projects.

Always stay in control with human validation.

Real-Time Budgets and Costs

CynQ now helps you maintain control of your projects from day one.

Easily create budgets from templates or existing projects.

Structure by labor, materials, and subcontractors.

Margin targets by supplier or line item (materials, resources, lump sums).

Mobile invoice scanning + automatic AI extraction.

Automated expenses and AI-powered budget reconciliation.

Real-time cost tracking with AI continuously monitoring project financial health.

Other CynQ Updates

PolyCynQ™ synchronizes work regardless of the language used
